Ropemaker, London (21 Storey New Build)

Ropemaker Place stands as one of London’s most sustainable buildings. 21 stories delivered on time and under budget, it received numerous awards.

Despite opening during the global recession, the 87,000 m sq building received sensational acclaim. It won 'Development of the Year', 'Rainwater Harvesting', and 'Soft Landscaping' awards, and the prestigious 'Major Project' accolade at the British Construction Industry (BCI) Awards in 2010.

Sustainability was at the heart of this project, with Ropemaker Place earning the City of London’s first-ever LEED Platinum rating and a BREEAM Excellent score. The building features an energy-saving double-glazed facade, 74 m sq of photovoltaics, and a green roof to enhance biodiversity. 86% of materials cleared from the site were reused, achieving a 50% reduction in energy and water use. This project exemplifies an unwavering commitment to sustainability and excellence.
