Two Fifty-One is a mixed-use development on Southwark Bridge Road in Elephant & Castle, London SE1, on a site area 0.51 acres.
The development comprised of two buildings - a 41-storey residential tower and 8-storey commercial building.
The new Shared Ownership apartments, located within the heart of Southwark were housed in the 41-storey residential tower forming part of the extensive regeneration programme to improve the local area and neighbouring Elephant and Castle. It incorporated a low energy heating system fed by centralised gas condensing boilers serving the whole site with individual HIU’s in each of the apartments. To help users reduce energy usage, apartments were provided with an energy display to monitor energy use for heating, electricity and cooling. The energy strategy is based on off-site renewables with provision made for future connection to a Multi Utility Service Company, providing Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) heating, chilled water, green water and off-site electricity. The energy strategy is based on the provision of on-site photovoltaics which were installed as part of the base build.
The tower’s amenities included 24-hour concierge, Wi-Fi lounge, cinema club, health and spa club, entertaining space, cafes and bars, as well as fully glazed winter gardens.
Phil was employed as the operations director with a well-known mechanical company operating predominantly in central and greater London and other major cities. Two Fifty-One was one of many projects under his control assisted by his dedicated team of managers and workforce, delivering the tower pipework services package on all floors and apartments.
