12 Claremont, Hastings
Commercial Electrical Refurbishment in East Sussex
Bradbury Electrical was appointed as the Electrical Contractor on a full CDP (Contractor Design Portion) basis to develop the design, construct, and commission the complete electrical refurbishment of 12 Claremont in Hastings, Sussex.
Originally built in 1870 and known as the Claremont Rooms, the building has a long and varied history, having served as an engraving studio, the town’s first telephone exchange, and later as auction rooms. Its rich architectural character and cultural legacy made it the ideal setting for a modern creative space.
Today, 12 Claremont has been transformed into an inclusive creative hub, with a ground-floor gallery operated by Project Art Works, a renowned neurodiverse artist collective. The refurbishment works carefully balanced modern compliance and performance standards with the preservation of the building’s original charm.
